100+ Civil Society Organizations Seek White House Transparency in IPEF Deal

NFFC was among the 100-plus signatories on the July 22, 2022, letter asking President Biden and his administration to increase transparency and public participation in the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) negotiations. As noted by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), the  organizations urged the administration to “replace the corporate advisory system with an on-the-record public process, including public hearings, to formulate U.S. positions and obtain comments on the draft and final U.S. text proposals, as well as consult and engage with Congress throughout the process”.
