National Campaigner (full-time, flexible location)
We are seeking a determined, committed, and creative National Campaigner to join our team! This is a full-time position, exempt position, offering remote-work flexibility. We required regular (likely quarterly) travel to Washington, D.C. and to other parts of the U.S. where NFFC’s member organizations are based. This position reports to the Coalition’s Policy and Programs Director. The National Campaigner would strengthen our campaigns and realize our goals of fair prices and economic justice for food providers, vibrant rural communities, and a food and agriculture system free of corporate domination. This person’s role encompasses a range of organizing and campaigning strategies designed to build our power, strengthen our membership’s understanding of our work, and build a broader base of support through external alliances to ultimately influence public policy. This will include, but is not limited to advocacy, policy communication, congressional education, and grassroots engagement. An ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of grassroots organizing, power building, campaign strategy, planning and implementation, some expertise in farm and food policy, some experience in Capitol Hill advocacy, enthusiasm for lifting up the voices of grassroots organizations, and building coalitions and alliances.
