Public comment submitted December 15, 2025 to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s acting director Russell Vought in strong opposition to the CFPB’s proposed rule on the implementation of Section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection
Act. In particular, we have significant concerns about the impacts of exempting agricultural lending and the Farm Credit System from data collection and reporting requirements. There is a long-standing need for data collection and oversight of private sector farm lending to identify predatory, discriminatory practices.
