She writes regularly for The Guardian and her work has also been published in The New York Times, Huffington Post, Time, and other outlets. In May of 2022, Carey helped launch a non-profit environmental news outlet called The New Lede as a journalism initiative of the Environmental Working Group.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAngel Garcia\nAngel Garcia, born and raised in the southern San Joaquin Valley of California, is the proud son of indigenous farm workers. Angel has worked on several pesticide reform campaigns, co-founded the Coalition Advocating for Pesticide Safety (CAPS), and currently serves as Co-Director at Californians for Pesticide Reform. His greatest accomplishments are his two boys, Anuri and Urian.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGeorge Naylor\nGeorge Naylor has been farming his family’s farm since 1976 choosing to never raise GMO crops. George and his wife Patti began transitioning the farm to organic seven years ago. In the early 2000s, George served as president of the National Family Farm Coalition and was a lead plaintiff in a national lawsuit against Monsanto. He currently serves on the boards of the Center for Food Safety and Family Farm Defenders. Patti and George write a blog at ClarityonParity.com.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKendra Klein\nKendra Klein, PhD, is Deputy Director of Science at Friends of the Earth. She leads research on pesticides, environmental health, and sustainable agriculture. Prior to joining FOE, she held positions at Physicians for Social Responsibility, Health Care Without Harm, and Breast Cancer Action. Kendra is a Switzer Environmental Fellow and her work has been published by The Guardian, The Nation, Gastronomica, and more. She holds a BA from Miami University of Ohio and a PhD in Environmental Science, Policy & Management from UC Berkeley.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAnna Lappé\nAnna Lappé is an advocate and funder for sustainability and justice along the food chain. She launched and directs the Food Sovereignty Fund of the Panta Rhea Foundation and is the founder and strategic adviser of the communications nonprofit Real Food Media. Alongside her advocacy and philanthropy, Anna is a national bestselling author whose most recent book, Diet for a Hot Planet: The Climate Crisis at the End of Your Fork and What You Can Do About It, exposes the intersections of food systems and the climate crisis.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSenator Cory Booker\nCory Booker has served in the United States Senate since 2013. Before serving in the Senate, he was mayor of Newark, New Jersey from 2006 to 2013. In 2021, he introduced the Protect America’s Children from Toxic Pesticides Act (PACTPA) which would ban the pesticides proven to be the most harmful to the safety of people and our environment.\n\n\n\n
