Vote No on Amendment 1 - Missouri Rural Crisis Center
Vote on Tuesday, August 5th and VOTE NO on Amendment 1, the deceptively-named “Right to Farm”! On Tuesday, August 5th we will be asked to change the Missouri constitution and cement the so-called “Right to Farm” into our Bill of Rights. THIS IS A BAD IDEA—Bad for Family Farmers, Bad for Consumers and Bad for Democracy!!! When you look at who is pushing this, it becomes clear what this is all about. Missouri Farmers Care is the lead organization supporting this amendment and their members include Cargill, Monsanto and Lathrop and Gage (a corporate law firm that represents Chinese-owned Smithfield Foods). No wonder they needed such a deceptive and misleading title for the Amendment. Don’t believe the corporate spin—Vote NO!
